Do I need a credit card to book my hotel room?

A security deposit is required for all rooms. A credit card hold is placed on your credit card at check-in. If a guest does not have a credit card or wishes not to use one, they may put down $250 cash/night as a hold.

What is the minimum age to book a hotel room?

There must be at least one (1) guest age 21 or older on the reservation and staying in the room.

How many people can sleep in my hotel room?

If you are staying in a room with two Queen-sized beds, the maximum occupancy is 4 persons.
If you are staying in a room with one King-sized bed, the maximum occupancy is 3 person.

What time is check in and check out?

Check in 3pm and checkout is 11am

Is there a gym in the hotel?

No we don’t have a gym on property, however, there are spin classes located at iCycle just through the alleyway near Toast Diner or yoga at The Courtyard a few blocks up. Check both businesses out online for scheduled classes.

Is there an ATM at the hotel?

There is an ATM in the Caravelle Market. The ATM fee is less than the one at the bank down the street.

Is there a dress code at the hotel or in Christiansted?

Guests wearing swimsuits should wear shirts, shoes and cover-ups when inside public areas of the hotel and around town.

Can I drink the tap water?

We suggest you drink bottled water or refill your bottles from the water spigot on the ice machine on the first floor of the building.

Where can I smoke cigarettes?

Virgin Islands law prohibits smoking on the balcony, porch or within 20 feet of a public building. Please smoke away from the building and dispose of your cigarette butts properly.

Do you have parking?

Please pull up into the loading zone in front of the hotel for check-in and out. Christiansted has street parking and depending on your time of arrival it may be more or less difficult to find parking. If you cannot find parking, please ask the front desk agent to direct you to our Caravelle parking lot and ask a shuttle to drive you back to the hotel or call 340-227-7156 x601.

How do I call the Caravelle Casino shuttle?

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the shuttle has been suspended.


Do you have any local rates?

We are not offering any local rates at the moment; however, we will be running promotions throughout the year, so please check our website or social media for those offers.

Can I upgrade my current room for a room with a better view?

Yes, our front desk staff can offer a room of equal price value. If another type of room is available, we may be able to upgrade you for an additional charge.

Can I check-in early?

Please speak with the front desk to request an early check-in. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. If your room is unavailable, we would be happy to hold your bags at the front desk and let you explore the island before you check-in.

Can I check-out late?

Please speak with the front desk to request a late check-out. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. If we require the room for a next guest, we can hold your bags at the front desk until your transportation is available.

Do you allow pets?

Caravelle Hotel & Casino does not allow pets, except for service animals as required by law.

What is the operating hours for the shuttle service? How far will the shuttle take me?

Unfortunately, due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, the shuttle service has been suspended at this time.


What are the hours of RumRunners Restaurant?

RumRunners is currently closed on Tuesdays. They are open for Breakfast 8 – 10am, Lunch & Dinner 11 – 9:30pm, Sunday Brunch 10am – 3pm
